“Really nice hotel. Walk into town was quick. Hotel was perfect for a nights stay. We did one night in order to go to Milford Sound the following day, which was a lovely trip. The only thing I would say is that Te Anau is very quiet and in hindsight we might have stayed in Queenstown and taken the (very long!) bus trip to Milford Sound from Queenstown and by passed staying in Te Anau. Parking at the hotel was free and plentiful. View from room was stunning. Staff were nice. Room basic, but fine....

“Overall acceptable “motel” but probably not worth the value , it’s close to the lake but certainly not to the front. The “front” of the rooms offer fantastic views and sounds from a trafficking road instead. Rooms are pretty old fashioned and the bed was garnished with a brownie fake ( and dusty) fur. Welcoming was excellent though but certainly not sufficient to compensate.”
