“Such a lovely and quiet place. Rooms clean & modern, wildlife abundant & close to the local pub! Price for the night is much more reasonable than expected for the type of property (you’d expect something less modern for the price). We loved it here, we didn’t use any services just stayed the night but had we been staying longer I would have.”

“We enjoyed our stay and found the staff helpful, suggesting where we could secure our bicycles overnight in the bike cage. It was an interesting old building and I would have loved some more info on its history. The only down side was that the breakfast muesli was stale”

“Amazing set up with an old Victorian decor and nice facilities. Breakfast is terrific and the hosts Jim and Heidi are next level good. They make your stay so nice and nothing is too much trouble. We would stay here again without hesitation.”

“Chris makes you welcome and knows the area so well. Chris wants you to have the best time be it as a tourist or just relaxing. Best of all she loves dogs. ”

“In summary - quiet, rural, friendly. Beautifully decorated, comfy and warm room part of, but separate from, the main house. Lots of well behaved dogs, chooks, guinea fowl, cats to share the stay with. Bonus was the cooked breakfast! Axedale is on the rail bike trail and Bendigo has so much to offer!”

“Chris is a wonderful hostess, friendly and helpful. If you love dogs this is an excellent B&B, even if you don't have yours with you. If you do, they can enjoy a secure yard with a view of the passing world, and are welcome to share space indoors too.”

“the property is in transition (on the day) to a new owner - the room didn't have a tv, a fridge, a table, a chair to sit comfortably or coffee - the toilet seat was broken - when we arrived it was if we were unexpected - certainly not what we expected for $300 - don't submit this review please as the new owners need time to get things sorted”

“I specifically Chose This accommodation As It advertised payment on arrival. I was frustrated and upset on arrival to be told by reception our booking was being canceled due to my credit card not being "valid". I Use a Load and Go Visa for Hotel bookings on A Regular Basis And This Is The First accommodation Provider To refuse A booking. I Had To Contact A Relative To Arrange Another Credit Card For "security" purposes. The room was a very poor example of 1980's take on Victorian Era Decoration....
