“ Attractive and comfortable with a well set up kitchen, it was a perfect location for our annual escape from the pre Christmas Melbourne madness. 2004 was not a good year health wise for us, so we needed somewhere comfortable to do nothing but read, and rest and Banyan Place did just that!”

“First thing to keep in mind is that this is a historic hotel. That means shared bathroom and shower stalls. So long as you're OK with that, this is actually a nice spot. Included split system AirCon and TV, both hard to find at a historic location. Onsite food was good and reasonable. Well worth the price paid.”

“Like: room was clean, staff nice & friendly, convenient location. Could be improved: When we checked in, the tissue box had exactly 1 piece of tissue left and we had to go to reception to get more. Would be nice to have a shower head on a rail or connected to a shower hose so we can wash our feet only.”
