Hotel a Norfolk County

“Nice property, looks like they are in the process of improving. Overall nice and clean. Pool water was a comfortable temperature. Nice size, but not much decor especially since no windows. Also had a nice sauna. Very nice gym, which is also open to the public. Breakfast not included, but the Shire restaurant on the hotel property gives 10% off to hotel guests. They had a nice all day breakfast menu.”

Apparently this location used to have a pool but they took it out and put in a larger breakfast room! I don't know if that's the trend but it's not a trend I support. “Hotel is old (cracked bathroom sink) and old carpets. But clean enough and comfortable beds. “Free Breakfast” was packaged muffins or a no name fruit cup - that’s it. One type of keurig coffee. Friendly staff. Small town, mid week, low occupancy so maybe $165 was a bit high.”

“Beds and suite mostly excellent. Staff were terrific. Cannot understand why a brand new Canadian facility would have such LOW TOILETS! Anyone over 6 foot tall or seniors who are somewhat inflexible - we are both - found it a long way down to sit on toilets built for a 10 yr old! Serious brain cramp at the design & build stage. Even much lower class hotels are smart enough to install adult height toilets during initial construction. We would stay again in a heartbeat but will not be doing so due...

“I booked a queen sized bed and it wasn’t a queen it was a double. They don’t have queen sized beds. Very disappointing. The staff was nice though. Just frustrating when you pay for something and don’t get it.”
