“We had a great time at The Cottage on creeper trail. There were 10 of us in our party 5 adults and 5 children under 7. There was plenty of space. The location was great! Would come back again. ”

“Beautiful, quiet, and private getaway on the water. The hot tub was clean and relaxing. Everything in the home is very high quality and super clean. The host was quick to respond during the check in and check out process for questions. The location of this house is beautiful and makes the perfect trip if you are looking for some quiet and relaxation.”

“This place was so warm and cozy. All the little details were considered and we felt very much at home. Very comfortable bed, loved the fireplace and hot tub! Close to town yet on top of a quiet hill. It was perfect and we would very much consider booking here again.”

“I was looking for a little cabin with a nice view far from other people/cabins. This was absolutely perfect. Host was super friendly and accommodating. There was a gas fireplace that was just absolutely amazing. Kitchen well equipped, washer and dryer a plus! View was good for sunset and sunrise. There was a super friendly cat as well and sheep and a donkey! Located a reasonable distance from several parks and hikes, groceries and supplies not far. We will definitely come again!”

“Our family of 6 enjoyed our stay at Sweet Retreat. While it was cold and snowy outside we were able to relax in a spacious home and also partake of the hot tub. Large fenced backyard was great for the pup while in the summer it would combine great with the pool and outdoor amenities!”

“The home is a decent distance off the highway but the scenery you'll see while driving to it are gorgeous. On the first day, we saw 3 deer and 2 rabbits! The driveway is very steep and made of gravel, so keep that in mind when choosing what vehicle to bring. If it has been raining, your tires may slip a bit going up. Upon arrival, the views are stunning and my dog had a blast running around the open yard. There was a cat lounging on the deck (Not sure if it belongs to the home or a neighbor,...

“We went to that area to ride the Virginia creeper Trail bike trail. The location was perfect. The house was spotless and provided an excellent lodging option for four adults. We would definitely rent this place again.”

“The home was beautiful, a nice little retreat. An adventure to get back to and definitely somewhere we will be back. Communication was great, definitely take food in. About 15-20 minutes to the closest store. But we all can’t wait to be back. Perfect for visiting the family over the weekend.”

“We stayed at this property while we were in town for the NASCAR race. It was perfect for three couples. Restaurants, coffee, bars are all within walking distances. The house was clean and well kept, and super cute! We would definitely stay here again on our next trip to the NASCAR race. The town is in our thoughts and prayers!”

“This house is conveniently located near the Virginia Creeper Trail. While the proximity to the trail is a significant advantage for outdoor enthusiasts, our experience at the house was mixed. The house has a nice kitchen, fully equipped with modern appliances, making meal preparation enjoyable and convenient. “We enjoyed sitting on the front porch of this lazy little country town. We did not realize it had more than one unit until after we finalized the reservation but luckily only one other unit had occupants, the last night. We walked to Damascus Old Mill for dinner (yummy-table over the river) and Blue Blazes bike rental is directly across the street if you are riding the Creeper Trail. We would go back again. ”
