“For a contactless check-in method, the staff were very accessible -easy to communicate with; the method was great. The room was wonderful. The breakfast was excellent. I met the owners and staff the morning after I checked in (late @ 11:45pm). They couldn't have been more hospitable. I stayed at the Walnut Inn out of necessity, attending a friend's father's funeral, and the Inn could not have been a better place for me to stay. “The continental breakfast was good - a variety of fresh baked goods, yogurts, fresh fruits, granola, teas, and the coffee was excellent! It would have been nice to enjoy a hot breakfast on the cold and gloomy morning that we were there, though. We enjoyed meeting our friendly host, Joe, and had a nice conversation with him as he explained the history of the property and some future kitchen renovations he has in the works. Parking was no problem - plenty of space, well-lit, felt absloutely...

“Hotel was nice, good location. Biggest problem is that they don't tell u they charge u 2x plus. There is a charge for being at the property and over $100 in taxes. Then for the room with another $80 in taxes. Parking is $69/ night. (Of course taxed). They have a nice handicap parking area. Very few carts for # of rooms. We were packing 1 and they took the cart with things on it without even knocking!”

The staff were friendly and offered advice for restaurants in the vicinity. Would highly recommend for both temporary and longer stays. Great location.”

“We had an amazing stay at Viking Village resort! It is an absolute hidden gem and truly felt like a fairytale escape. The cozy wooden houses are free-standing, which gives you excellent privacy, making them perfect for either a family trip or a solo getaway. “Food at restaurant was phenomenal”

“The place was fine--I don't demand much of a hotel. It is basically a place to sleep. However, more discerning travelers might have been upset by the fact that the supplemental door lock didn't work, one of the shelves in the closed was broken and the one day out of four that we had maid service, they seemed to only half finish the job. They may be very short of staff.”
