House + Guest House at 500 yards from the beach.

Casaflex is our newly renovated paradise just a 5-minute walk to the beach.

The house includes a 3 bedrooms main house and an annexed guest house with a queen bed and a bunk bed. This additional guest house includes a full bathroom, a kitchenette, and a counter for lunch. This setup makes the house ideal for 2 adults couples to have some sort of privacy during a long stay.

Have a peek of the ocean from the terrasse and look at the parrot while taking your coffee. You can also take a walk to the village for grocery shopping, go to the beach and take surf lessons.

The house is very safe and secure. There's a guard on duty every evenings and nights. The house is also equipped of security cameras, safes, alarm systems and digital locks.

The charming beachside town of Esterillos Oeste is a short drive 20 minutes from Jaco and 40 minutes from Manuel Antonio. Although Jaco is only a short drive away, Esterillos Oeste remains quiet and peaceful with his 300 people. The town is surrounded mostly by patches of rice fields, grazing cattle, and thick tropical rainforest. Once you arrive in the modest town center near the beach, you will find a couple of small grocery stores, a few restaurants. Costa Ricans live in Esterillos Oeste, but there is also a sizeable population of ex-pats from USA and Canada including several living around the house.

Esterillos offers stunning views of the Pacific, and access to some of the best surfing and paddling in Costa Rica. This area is renowned for its abundance of fish, including black and blue marlin, sailfish and dorados, making it the perfect spot to cast a line and land a live one with sportsfishing expeditions. Visitors who want to remain on dry land can head out into the lush rolling hills that surround Esterillos Oeste on an ATV, or indulge in a leisurely trek through the countryside on horseback.

Great little spot in costa Rica
Easy to access house. We only stayed in the main part of the house and it was rainy season. So cooler and the AC in the bedrooms was very needed still. We had a slight issue with on demand water heater in main house shower but went over to the guest house to shower the kids. Pool was perfect. There is a packn play and high chair for the younger kids. We rented surf boards from Brett’s Surfboards down the road.

Tropical Oasis in Costa Rica
My graduate school cohort loved our stay at Julien’s Oasis in Esterillos. The property is beautiful and as described! The owner kindly allowed us to have an early check in and late check out. House is situated within a short walking distance from the beach and driving distance from Jaco and Quepo. We would definitely stay here again!!

Excellent Property
Stayed at this property for a week for our first time in Costa Rica. The check-in process was smooth. The location is stellar, on top of a steep hill, with a view of the pacific ocean. The pool was ready to go and maintenance free. There is a grocery store (Super Sol) a short walk away, and a restaurant 'El Patio' right next to it. Not that there were any security concerns, but the gate locks up well and the perimeter is walled. There is a resident lizard on site, a great big silent guy who likes to sun on the patio by the pool. I'm sure he eats the bugs. The bunkhouse has its own shower and kichenette and our teens loved it. Tip: buy water at the Super Sol when you come in. I loved the 3 Litre sized pop bottles they had. The proprietors were awesome with everything, and helped us arrange activities in the region. You are a 2 hour drive from San Jose, along good highways. You are 20 minutes out from Jaco, 5 from Del Toro, and 15 from the Town Center. The property management is responsive and fixed all our problems asap. The loft is the perfect place to enjoy your morning coffee...

This house was amazing! Absolutely beautiful. Description accurate and communication with host was amazing. The grounds are beautiful. We had everything we needed! We had lots of iguana visitors and saw several beautiful birds including the macaws! Amazing location. We would love to come back again!

Great house for our Costa Rica adventure
House is just as the pictures show. Plenty of space and attentive support from the management company. The area was a nice staging point for exploring the southern region. As can happen, the power went out one night for a bit, but they had candles already there so we swam in the pool by candlight, which isn't a bad way to spend an evening.

Beautiful Property
The property is beautiful and offers two separate living spaces who h was very helpful in our case. The quiet town felt very safe and gave convenient access to stores and restaurants. The pool was lovely and the ocean was a short ride (or long walk) away. We did have some issues with power going out periodically and a plumbing failure (and flooding) during a heavy overnight rain storm. The host was extremely responsive in both cases which was much appreciated. I think the plumbing and electric could both use a good update to prevent this in the future. That being said, I would happily return for another stay here as it was truly a beautiful place that allows you to safely and comfortably experience authentic Costa Rica.

The house was immaculate, well stocked and spacious! The pool was a perfect break from the ocean and the neighborhood is quiet and friendly. Could not recommend more, this is the best short term rental I have ever had!

Great view of the beach and ocean
This house is in a small, friendly beachside town very close walk to the beach. It is up on a hill, with gravel road access, so a 4WD would be beneficial. The separate guest house is great for teens. Kitchen has necessary tools and even an Instapot. The little grocery store has the essentials, but the kitchen was stocked with salt and pepper, coffee, filters. Bring laundry detergent and you can use washer. Beware the dryer door opening catches clothing so bring small bag for delicates! Two state parks are about an hour drive away for opportunities to see wildlife. Be sure to reserve entry online ahead of time, Manuel tends to fill up.

Great spot!
Thank you. We visit Costa Rica regularly and love Esterillos Oeste. Even though it was just the two of us this time we really wanted a nice porch and a private pool. The house had everything we needed and then some! It’s close to Jaco so we did a few things there and hiked El Miro, also Carara National Park and we love the Rainmaker in Parrita. The Super Sol in town has everything you need food/drink and had a resident scarlet macaw that was flying in for some sunflower seeds. El Patio has great wings and pizza and Soda Margarita has amazing breakfast (gallo pinto, eggs, bacon) and it’s right on the beach. Great property close to everything!

Perfect Costa Rican beach stay
We stayed at Casa Flex for a week. House is beautiful, fully equipped and in a perfect location! Check in and out was easy and Mirla from property management helped us organize some excursions as well. We would definitely stay here again!

Beautiful Oasis
Staying at casa flex was a wonderful experience full of complete relaxation and enjoyment! It was so fun to watch the resident iguanas meander around with us! They have done a beautiful job and it is so nice to have the two different houses when you bring two different families! The bedrooms offered a really nice AC unit which was really enjoyable for sleeping. However, would be nice to have an AC unit near the kitchen when we are cooking. It got a little heated for sure. However, they have done a beautiful job with what they offer at this place and it is highly recommended!

Wonderful Home
CasaFlex was amazing. Great communication with hosts and staff, lovely neighborhood. Would recommend people rent a 4x4 when staying there because the dirt roads around it can be a little dicey. Loved Esterillos Oeste and the property, especially the outdoor shower and the pool.

Beyond My Imagination
First time traveler to Costa Rica and was lucky enough to grab this house! It was simply beautiful- from the separate apartment to the lighted pool, the spacious kitchen and living areas and bedrooms. With nature right outside your door and a charming little town where locals remember your name when getting groceries and grabbing a bite- this home was perfect for my group of four friends. If you have the chance- do not delay in booking. I think we might want a return trip next year!

Wonderful place
Great property, great location. Loved the pool, the outdoor living area and the outlook with beautiful views of the ocean and surrounding area. Peaceful and relaxing. Love the town of esterillos oeste. Not very busy but enough restaurants and groceries available for all needs. Beach is amazing. Will definitely be back.

Sehr schöne Unterkunft
Wir sind mit 6 Erwachsenen und 2 Kindern verreist (1 und 4 Jahre). Das Haus ist ideal für die Personenanzahl und ist sehr gepflegt und sauber!Sehr schön ist der Neubau! Der Pool ist groß und ebenfalls sauber! Der Kontakt mit dem Vermieter und der Ansprechpartner vor Ort sind sehr freundlich,helfen bei Fragen und sind jederzeit Ansprechpartner! Zum Strand gelangt man zu Fuß in ca. 5 Minuten! Wir waren sehr begeistert von dem Haus,ein sehr gelungener Urlaub!

August surf trip in Esterillos Oeste
Our group has stayed at a number of houses in the Esterillos/Hermosa area and on the Nicoya peninsula. This is our favorite house to date. The walk to the beach is pretty quick, but it is up a little bit above the beach, which meant far fewer mosquitos than we've experienced when staying right on the beach. You have a great view of the reef break from the palapa above the second bedroom building- a terrific place to relax, check the surf, see the birds and sloths. The pool is super nice. The kitchen has most of what you need for cooking for a group- and what isn't there can be found down the road at SuperSol. AC in the bedrooms works great. Communication with the property manager was inconsistent, however the owner was extremely fast and helpful to answer questions through VRBO messages. We would definitely do this trip again.

Home away from home
Esterillos Oeste is the perfect town to truly enjoy yourself in. It's located nicely between Jaco and Manuel Antonio National Park. We spent 12 days there as 2 single moms with 7 children between us. The home was well equipped with all the comforts we needed for a home away from home. The pool and upstairs balcony provided the views and entertainment we longed for on our rest days. We filled our down time with husking coconuts that dropped in the yard and lounging in the hammock or playing dice. Julien was available multiple times and responded quickly when we had questions. The property management team also took care of all our needs and even recommended a few adventures that turned out to be a great family experience. I highly recommend this vacation rental for anyone looking to truly relax and get away from the crowded and busy tourist traps. Local restaurants were great, neighbors are friendly and the host and his property management team were top notch. I can't wait to visit again.
