“When you drive up to the lodge, you think "What did I book myself into?" But once you get inside everything is fine. The AC definitely works, and the room has everything you need. A train does run behind the motel, but doesn't go often and doesn't sound it's whistle. The shower was a bit basic but it worked. You have to drive downtown to find a restaurant.”

The pub itself is a beautiful old space with a great selection of food and drinks on offer and there was live music in the beer garden on Saturday night. “We got the ship room, with balcony - quirky but very dated. The lower part of the boat is quite humid - at night you must close all windows unless you want milllion bugs in your room, so no way to sit outside and enjoy the stars but during the day the views are so pretty. Overall, fun for the kids , clean and ok for 1 night, expensive though ”
