“The staff was very nice. The bedroom was very comfortable as were the beds. The breakfast was very tasty and affordable. Parking was conveniently outside. It was nice seeing dogs in the hotel. But unfortunately I stepped on dog poo on the short walk from the hotel entrance to my car which was not pleasant at all. The brown pebbles made it hard to see. All in all I would come back if I was in the are but careful where you step.”

“I been here probably 15 times. This place it’s just amazing, every time I come to visit New Forest I book The Retreat New Forest for my staying with my dogs! There it’s pet friendly and no charge for dogs (that’s fantastic) a big bonus for me so why I come here many time! The room it’s clean, very comfy and relaxing! We only wanted glasses from the per glass list but bought a bottle which was good but the per glass price was obviously designed to make us do that. “We had an amazing stay for our anniversary, couldn’t fault anything it was great! The food incredible, we had two breakfasts and two dinners it was that good! The staff were super friendly and couldn’t do enough for us and the room was lovely, we had a great view of the gardens! The location plus all of the above we felt was great value for money and we are already missing our stay in the New Forest! Would definitely recommend! ”
