The Stonehouse is a rare find. One of a kind. Even from the driveway entrance you won't see the house till you get to the end of Quarry Street. We are in the city and in the woods. Just the kind of home you think of when you think of Oregon. From your patio there isn't a house in sight. Peace and tranquility, birds and squirrels, mountains and Portland sky lines off in the distance, and evening sunsets glowing through the trees. Sit on a large boulder left from the old rock quarry and read a book. Swing on an adult size swing and feel like a child again. Turn on the patio party lights and have friends over for dinner outside and marshmallows around the fire pit. Take a short walk after dinner up the path, located just above the driveway, to the lookout over Oregon City and beyond.
The Stonehouse is a very private 1000sq. ft. daylight basement apartment surrounded by Waterboard Park just above historic Oregon City (winner of 2018 Great American Main Street Award.) A garden path leads to your own separate keyless entry, which opens to the living room, dining room and kitchen.
The living room has big comfy chairs that are a great place to curl up with a good book or watch your favorite show.
If you enjoy cooking or barbecuing, the kitchen is well stocked with the tools you'll need, including convection oven and full size refrigerator.
We think you will especially enjoy the quiet and comfort of your bedroom.
There is no road noise to disturb your sleep. Blackout curtains, pristine white sheets, lots of pillows and extra blankets are all provided to enhance your sleeping experience.
If you want city, use the bus system to reach Portland or stroll to downtown Oregon City via the elevator to explore wonderful restaurants, bars, and shops. It doesn’t get much better than this.
