“A truly unique experience. Our gracious hostess, Ms. Fujita, welcomed us with freshly prepared matcha and mochi. The machiya is spacious, spotless, and has very comfortable beds and futons. There are small handwritten cards throughout the house detailing historical information and conservation efforts. The washer/dryer combo works great. The stairs require some agility. The small garden is magical in the rain. It’s a very short walk to either the Omicho market (best seafood!) or the Kanazawa...
