“The staff was accommodating and worked to get me a ground-floor room. I made a mistake when booking the room and accidentally selected a smoking room. There was only one non-smoking room left on the ground floor, and it was an upgrade. The staff worked with me on the price so that I could get that room. The room and property were clean. There was ample parking. Only a short drive to downtown Aiken with its shops and restaurants.”

“This was the worst Marriott property I have stayed at. If you stay there don't accept staying in room 108. I was next to the kitchen where they prepare the free brunch. I heard banging on the next room off and on from about 7-8:30 AM. Also, people who I assume were staff were talking right outside my door early in the morning. “It was a beautiful old Southern home. Our room was very poorly lighted and difficult to see things in the dim bathroom. The room had a musty odor also but was very clean. Our beds were comfortable and amenities were nice. Bed linens felt luxurious. We were a bit disappointed in the included breakfast. It consisted of lukewarm scrambled eggs that tasted like powdered eggs. Some fresh fruit and a few pieces of danish as well as cold cereals and some breads for toasting. I expected something more...
