“An excellent hotel. The staff could not have been more friendly and welcoming. A lovely comfortable room, good car parking and a 5-10 minute walk into Kenmare. Only stayed the one night as travellling on further on the ring of Kerry but would stay again to Kenmare and the Beara penninsular next time”

“The hotel was a modest 3 star . The location is great but the building is tired and needs updating. Breakfast was good. I just wouldn’t claim that it was a 4 star hotel, in its heyday, maybe.”

“Stayed here one night in preparation for the boat trip to Skellig Michael which was sadly cancelled the next day due to rough seas and high winds. However, this was a lovely little place and we had a very pleasant stay. We stayed in the room with the attached bathroom and there was a great setup outside for coffee etc. which was much appreciated. Thank you!”

This Ceim House in the Black Valley is the absolute best! The hostess/owner, Agnes, could not do more to make every second of our stay quite memorable. In short, if you want to combine a once in a lifetime experience that combines the magic of the Irish countryside with the warmth of the Irish people, book a week at the Ceim House!”
