“Our family stayed at Brekka for the holiday season. The host’s directions were spot on and we found the house no trouble at night,in the snow, and never having been to Iceland before. The house was warm and clean on arrival & fully stocked with all utensils and cooking pots and pans, etc we needed for our stay. The three bedrooms and upstairs loft all got used as sleeping quarters; everyone was comfortable and the blankets sheets and pillows were all clean and inviting for a good night’s sleep....

“I have nothing negative to say about this property. They have thoughtfully equipped the house with everything you could possibly need. The hot tub is a bonus and we used it to watch for the Northern Lights every night. All communication before and after arrival was answered very quickly. The setting is gorgeous along the banks of a river, a view enjoyed through the large glass windows. I would highly recommend this property even though it's a bit of a drive from the city. “I loved this cottage and was so sad to leave! I have never stayed at such a comfortable and cozy place. We arrived late at night and it was such a breath of fresh air walking into the cottage. Everything was just perfect. The beds and bedding were so comfortable. We were close to the golden circle and south coast so a slow exploration of the area was possible. ”

“We chose this cabin for the cosy part of our winter trip to Iceland. We had the perfect time: aurora borealis dancing over the sky, while we were soaking in the hot pot, lake and mountains covered in snow. The house is so nicely designed, so cosy and lovely.
