“Main standout quality of this hotel is it’s location. Beautiful views of The Mournes and very well maintained gardens. Also ample car parking space. If you want a quiet place to escape then this is it. Very attentive staff and excellent food. We did get the impression that one of the male staff was overworked- it seemed that he was absolutely doing everything, but must stress that he was an excellent ‘people person’ and that nothing was a bother to him. “Gorgeous property in a quiet rural location, but convenient (5 minute drive) to several towns with lots of dining options. Very comfortable beds, great water pressure in the shower, charming and welcoming hosts, and delicious(!) breakfast. Beautiful garden filled with birdsong, very peaceful and relaxing - we would have loved to stay longer! Hosts were very helpul with recommendations for places to eat and things to see - absolutley delightful all around!”

We used it as a stop off on our trip to photograph the mountains and surrounding areas, this was the perfect stop off for what we wanted. “A truly wonderful find! Quiet, convenient, clean well appointed cottage, with attentive, friendly hosts. Good parking, near enough (by car) to the Mourne Mountains, Murlough, Tyrella and Ballykinler beaches and Newcastle. About a 45 min drive from Belfast. A great haven for peaceful outdoor pursuits or just getting away from it all. Will happily stay again! ”
