“Superb place to stay. Everything you could need was available in the room with lovely additional features like the fridge, microwave and coffee machine. The bed was very comfortable and the bathroom had a great bath and shower. We were met by the owners and shown round the facilities, including the amazingly large spa pool! It was December for our stay but we managed 90 minutes relaximg in warm water before venturing out for food. Warm, welcoming and comfortable! Would highly recommend a stay at...

“We were unable to contact to let them know our time of arrival as nobody answered the phone. When we arrived nobody from the hotel was there so we called the number on the door which was answered. After a short while somebody turned up to let us in ,but there was some confusion over the booking as the diary was not available, however we were shown up to our room via an outside metal staircase. “We were put in a basement room with a view of back yard with dirty doors etc. .no hair dryer or Iron. Luckily we asked for one at reception but had to walk 100 yrds to do that. .door didn't close properly so could hear all noise. Toilet flush from next rooms was very loud. Also terrible creaking floorboards from rooms above. Parking was limited on street and was pay and display which was expensive for 24 hours. We were not far from beach so that was a bonus. Only stayed one night fr an occasion...

“Due to unforseen circumstances we arrived late on our first day, had told Donna and even though it was late she was there to greet us and help with our luggage. The room was spotless and the view over the estuary beautiful. Breakfast was delicious with thick bacon and sausage from a local butchers. What we both liked was the attentiveness that Donna gave us and other customers staying there. She would also call each of us by our fist names. Something that just made the stay a bit more...

“Our stay was just totally amazing. The Tavistock Town House is a beautiful, very well maintained family home in a perfect central location in Tavistock. Liz could not have been a more perfect helpful host. All the essentials and more are provided…the welcoming Afternoon tea and milk in the fridge was just the icing in the cake!…will definitely be planning another stay soon !! ”
