The first thing you see when you enter through the door, which has a keypad, so much better than a key, is the bathroom with a washer and dryer. The shower is small, but if you’ve ever been to Europe, you’ll know how to navigate it. The rest of the unit is just as you see in the photos. The kitchen is well stocked. I appreciated the Keurig cups. Pots and pans are supplied, as well as some cooking utensils.
Be ready for a daily visit from the chickens who live across the street. The rooster acts as an alarm clock but really didn’t bother me.
We woke up one morning to no water. Never had that happen before. I was able to reach Tyler, who contacted the water company and it resolved pretty quickly.
The location is good. You’re only 20 minutes from The New River Gorge National Park and Preserve. Beautiful spot to see the famous arch bridge. If you’re a kayaker or rafter you’ll be close enough to the Gauley Dam for lots of water adventure and hiking.
If you’re looking for a quiet place with lots of outdoor activities close by, this is the place for you.
