“I had a very pleasant day clarion inn—-it is within walking distance 9f River Riders, also known as Snow Riders in the winter it took me five minutes to walk there to their headquarters. They offer a good breakfast not elaborate but sufficient several choices you could make your own waffles, but I was disappointed that they’re beautiful pool is not functional because the heater needs to be fixed or replaced after a long day of hiking or kayaking. “Fine hotel. A little old and worn but clean and fully functional for all our needs. Bed was really great and water pressure was superb too.”

“The bathroom had water on the floor from an unknown source. The seal around the bathtub was broken and the wall paper in the bathroom was peeling. The thermostat in the room was malfunctioning.”

“One of the worst stays I booked in my life, and the worst facility with false promises and provided room and amenities. They give smoked room even though we asked for non smoking since we had 4 kids to stay, overall terrible and not recommended for families and non-smoking people.”

“Great place. Clean with all the basic necessities available. Breakfast was good. A big shoutout to Roland at the front desk. I had a family emergency that required an executive decision, and he did not hesitate to help me out. Thank you!”

“Just pretty ‘down’ - entrance area smelled, the breakfast was awful (I turned on my heals and went to BUY coffee), they gave away my friend’s room and made up a bunch of excuses. I don’t think there was even an elevator? The sheets were a weird fabric… perhaps some unhomed people Living there? No chance I will make this mistake again.”

“Room and general areas clean and well maintained. Staff was friendly and helpful. Only complaint was room was a little cramped - one of the beds (two queens) was about 8 inches from the wall, making it difficult to get into that side of the bed.”

“Good location for easy access to highways, restaurants and shopping. The property is older (renovated), but you can tell it has been around a while. The floors seemed slightly tilted in locations, were very creaky and the hallways were musty smelling. The rooms were clean and I had almost no complaints except for the noisy shower/tub. “Room was clean. The bathtub appeared to be newer, but there wasn't a rubber mat, nor anything stuck to the bottom of the tub to keep people from slipping, sliding and falling. I fell once while trying to bend over to get the soap for washing and then again while I was hanging onto the handicap bar and trying to turn around to get rinsed off. We put a towel on the tub floor to keep from slipping. I informed the front desk when I checked out.”

“The room was small but comfortable. The bed was too soft, but that's just me. I prefer a much firmer than average mattress. Having the diner right on site was great. The service was awesome & the breakfast delicious. I'd have no problem staying here again, or even just coming to eat.”

“We stayed at Visitation during our son and DIL marriage in the Frederick courthouse- afterwards we reserved dinner at Wye Oak Tavern. The environment, presentation and superior taste of food made for a memorable evening. They treated us with a glass of complimentary champagne to celebrate our night and we never felt rushed to leave that evening. It was a special night and our stay at hotel was superb - rooms were immaculate and comfortable- hotel grounds were lovely to relax.”
