“I booked this motel because it advertises a restaurant and bar. On arrival both were closed. If it is not open on a Sunday they should advise customers.”

“Great Parking, room service not so good, new towels, toilet paper etc just left on the dining table, bed not made, dishes not done. You pay a lot of money for these simple things.”

“We were only here for three nights but loved the time we had here. It was welcoming, spotless and our fridge was stocked everyday with breakfast foods, even bacon. The kitchen was really well stocked as was the rest of the house. For us, instead of being lulled to sleep by the sound of the waves at night, we were able to hear the river and drop off to sleep with that beautiful sound, it really was a luxury home away from home. Thank you”

“Exceptionally friendly manager, unusually big room - plenty of space, we could cook all our meals on site, good shower, very comfortable bed. Location quiet - had a good sleep!”

“Bed was very comfortable, however rubbish bin had not been emptied from last person and when trying to get tv going we were told terrible reception use you tube, Didn’t find that acceptable and couldn’t get tv.”

“Very tastefully decorated and beautifully furnished accommodation with lovely views out over Lake Taupo. The suite had everything we needed and more. Lots of lovely little touches. Breakfast was excellent. Liz and Steve were very welcoming hosts and we would not hesitate to recommend Belle Vue. We shall certainly stay here again if we come back to Taupo.”

“The restaurant was cool at the Lake Front Lodge staff were awesome food and drinks awesome. The front desk staff were good. The spa pool and swimming pool needs to be hotter than it was disappointing the spa pool was cold not operating was disappointed with this side of things.”

“Property needs to be modernised. Single glazing and shower fittings are from the sixties. No bedside tables or even a coffee table in the lounge”
