Be advised that it is not secluded and is immediately adjacent to another, larger rental house and that parking is out the front door. “Having never stayed in a Yurt of grid i was Amazed at how nice it was. I followed the rule of laundry during the day and had no issues. I titled this country because of the chickens and dogs, if you want a quite nights rest this isn't for you. If you are used to dogs barking and roasters crowingfrom 3am on then you'll be fine. “My husband and I stayed at Alala Cottage in Volcano, Hawaii for 3 lovely nights. This small but extremely well outfitted house was even better than expected. The host had thought of everything you will need to enjoy your stay- especially numerous ways to brew your coffee (Keurig, Nespresso, regular coffee pot plus a milk frother!) “As advertised and more! It was a shame we didn't have time to thoroughly explore their beautiful grounds and giftshop. I told my wife about the highly rated vegetation cafe and she said, "well I'm not a vegetarian.". Then she tried the tiny fresh baked loaf of sweet bread they kindly left in the fridge(perfect after volcano viewing snack), Then when I asked "How about now?". She replied "I think I might be a vegetarian!". Delicious! Thanks again for a wonderful stay!”

“We really enjoyed our stay in the Maid's Quarters. The apartment is very comfortable and lovely, with antique furniture and objects that reflect the history of the property and neighborhood. It was a pleasure to cook in the kitchen (sharp knives and a Viking range and oven, both unusual in a rental). The hosts were responsive and welcoming. We loved soaking in the jacuzzi after a day of hiking. We would happily stay here again. Highly recommended.”
