“Overall very nice accommodations. Bathroom in our suite was somewhat awkward - the shower set-up got the whole bathroom floor wet, and i hit my head 3 times on a stairwell underlayment that cuts into the shower/bathroom space. But overall very nice and well appointed.”

“It was an ok experience. I wish I would’ve known more information about the services that were available. I didn’t know that the bathroom was located outside of the room. Also, there was no refrigerator ti keep cold items nor a coffee maker to make coffee. Which by the way the island, didn’t have coffee almost anywhere especially in the evening/night hours. The second floor of the bunk bed was too closed to the ceiling. There’s no “hot” water in the showers. Other than that the room was very...

“I am a repeat visitor to Hix House and I will keep on going! Love the rooms - they are all wonderful! I’ve stayed at Redonda & Triangle in past. This visit we stayed in Solaris which came in handy since its solar powered & there was an island wide blackout. We were not affected. ”

“When we showed up we initially could not find the location as it was surrounded by a few abandoned houses. After finally finding it we found it to be locked and there was no front staff to let us in. This location is not a hotel, it is more of an abandoned house. When we called the phone number there was no answer. Had to stay in a different hotel that night, please do not book here.”

“We wanted to visit the bioluminescent lagoon, Mosquito Bay, but we weren't sure we wanted to go through all the trouble to rent a second vehicle (hesitant about leaving our first vehicle behind in Ceiba) and a second property...but we are SO GLAD we did! We were in the perfect location for our tour and had enough time to see all the beaches we had wanted to visit. The pictures do not do it justice--this propery is much cuter in person.”

“This is the most beautiful and relaxing place we have EVER stayed. With Joaquin’s directions it was very easy to find using Google maps and the pic he sent of the front gate let us know we were definitely in the right spot. We arrived after dark and were able to get there without any issues, the roads are steep and narrow but very manageable. Waking up to the breathtaking views was amazing, we knew it would be amazing but had no idea how amazing it would be. Joaquin’s landscaping skills and love...
