“Lovely spacious and comfortable cottage. Nice large kitchen. Parking straight out front. Only small issue was that I couldn't get a workable internet connection. Appleby's Restaurant close by was amazingly good!! Worth coming to Tassie to visit Boat Harbour!!”

“From my first contact with Kylie/Madison & Meg, I was made to feel most welcome at the Wharf Hotel. A business that the staff are obviously very proud of, is quite rare in this environment. Mealtimes in the Restaurant were nothing short of seamless, professional and so very friendly for all different customer types and needs. This hotel is an absolute gem!!!”

“Amazing location, great price, fairly updated rooms and good quality. Really impressed with being able to be supplied one of several different types of pillows from reception but the pillow on my bed were great - down pillows. Only issue I had was the bar fridge did not have a freezer so I couldn't freeze my ice pack for my lunch bag for the next day.”

“Our second time stay here, we booked a self contained room, the new owners are a great couple, helping out when needed, the only fault we had was no fly screens The bed was very comfortable , very affordable Would definitely recommend anyone stay here, ”

“Arrived late after noon. The owner was most helpful as we needed directions. Room was good with a brilliant view of Burnie Harbour. Breakfast we sat with the owners. We talked and talked until we realised we needed to move on to our next destination.”

“Have stayed here 3 or 4 times and find it very pleasant, comfortable, convenient and affordable. Some noise on the port-facing side from trucks and machines working through the night on the dock. Better to stay on the town facing side.”

“Lovely house with lots of ducks all around! Special highlights of Burnie include the penguin colony (very busy during our late-Feb visit), platypus at Fern Glen, and a beautiful beach.”

“This property is a bit dated but has obviously had some upgrades over its life. We had a seafront room for 2 nights. The room was reasonably appointed with everything we needed. The water pressure to the inroom taps seemed very high and the mixer tap on the vanity basin was very noisy. The property had a lift for rooms above ground level. The tariff is a bit high, even though it is to be expected for a beachfront position. Overall a pleasant stay.”
