“We loved our stay in the Blackhouse Cottage, and wished we could have stayed longer. It was gorgeously appointed and well set out. The beds were super comfortable and we were snug and warm in the cold. So cozy and the perfect place to unwind and relax. We would stay here again and again. ”

“Lovely experience! Look no further this is the place you want to rest up and feel the warm hospitality of Fraser & Ann. Rooms are tidy and there is a open room to hang out. Short distance from the Hokitika town and easy access to Hokitika Gorge. Breakfast is delicious (don't forget to discuss the subtleties of different Marmite with Fraser). Can whole heartedly recommend this place for everytype passenger.”

“Hotel was clean, kitchen was well stocked with needed pots, pans, dishes, coffee, tea etc. It was very quiet, rooms seemed well sound proofed. Staff was very friendly. We had a two bedroom unit with table for eating and lounge area - great for relaxing. The only negative was jets on the tub didn't work. ”
