Wolf River Lodge - Mr Lake Lure Vacation Rentals

Wolf River Lodge is the premier vacation rental home because it has everything you could possibly want in a Lake Lure getaway. This extraordinary Post & Beam custom log home is nestled in a private wooded setting at the end of a quiet cul-de-sac in Rumbling Bald Resort in Lake Lure. This 3,300sf tri level home features 4 bedrooms, 3.5 bathrooms, spectacular outside living area, and views thru the trees.

There are no worries about getting to this home. It's located in a resort community with paved roads all the way to the home. Once there, parking is level. Enter the front door and experience the WOW factor. You will be immediately mesmerized by the décor, amazing woodwork, and all the unique features found in Post & Beam construction. It will take you a couple of days to soak it all in and truly appreciate the craftsmanship.

The living room features soaring ceilings, massive stacked stone gas fireplace, giant flat screen wall mounted TV, wood floors, exposed beams, and plenty of comfortable seating for everyone. Steps away is a fully equipped gourmet kitchen with granite counters, stainless steel appliances, side by side refrigerator with large capacity freezer drawer, ice maker, dishwasher, electric stove and oven, a variety of cookware, and plenty of dishes. The home has BOTH A DRIP COFFEE POT AND A KEURIG COFFEE MAKER. There is plenty of counter space for meal preparation, breakfast bar for casual dining, and a formal dining table for six. Better yet, dine outside! Doors from the dining area lead to a full length partially covered deck with another table that seats six people, right next to the gas barbeque. A half bathroom and laundry room complete the main level.

Talk about luxurious, wait until you see the main level Master Suite with queen size sleigh bed, large dresser with plenty of drawers, flat screen TV, closet, ceiling fan, and private doors leading to the deck. The bathroom is equally as nice, large granite counters, dual sinks, walk-in tile and glass shower, and a claw foot bathtub. We provide all the sheets, bath towels and bathmats.

This home offers great sleeping flexibility with bedrooms on each of the three levels. Upstairs there are two guest rooms separated by a loft area. Guest Room one upstairs has a queen size bed, large dresser, nightstand, mirror, and ceiling fan. The second upstairs Guest Room has a queen log bed, log dresser, mirror and ceiling fan. The loft area has two overstuffed lounge chairs and a small table, ideal for reading or a game of checkers. No worries; there's a guest bathroom upstairs.

Downstairs is where all the fun begins. Movie night happens in the lower level family room with another gas fireplace, wall mounted flat screen TV, and plenty of comfortable seating that reclines. If you need to get some work accomplished while on vacation, there is a large desk and office chair. There's an extra single size bed with trundle downstairs, and a bathroom with shower. There's a screened porch downstairs that has comfortable padded seating and relaxing views.

One of the best vacation features is the outside living area. Everyone wants a hot tub, and this home has one. It's easily accessible from both the main and lower levels. And wait until you see the patio with stone wood burning fireplace surrounded by an assortment of Adirondack chairs. There's no place better to create memories that will last forever.

AREA THINGS TO DO

Lake Lure Beach is just 5 minutes away, complete with water slides and a splash pad! The main Town of Lake Lure marina offers boat rentals, daily tours, and dinner cruises. River tubing, zip-lining, gem-mining, horseback riding and rock climbing are all within a short distance of the house. The area also boasts 2 beautiful golf courses for those looking to venture out onto the green. Hike Chimney Rock State Park for a breathtaking view. Or explore the charming little town of Chimney Rock with riverfront breweries, Burntshirt Bistro and tasting room, only 15 minutes away.

For any grocery needs, Ingles Market is a large fully stocked grocery store with deli, bakery, wine, and beer, along with a Starbucks and Pharmacy. The towns of Hendersonville, Flat Rock, Black Mountain, and Asheville (The Biltmore Estate) are between 45 minutes to an hour's drive depending on traffic. Tryon International Equestrian Center (TIEC) offering world class equestrian events throughout the year is a short 20-minute drive. the Towns of Columbus and Tryon are also a short drive away.

Our Guests are welcome to use the amenities at Rumbling Bald Resort. The resort features all the convenience, entertainment, and amenities you need! Most of the features are located within 1.5 miles away from the home and can be accessed with the guest passes you will receive at check in.

House Rules

NC VACATION RENTAL STANDARDS

First, be aware that the North Carolina Vacation Rental Act provides you with certain rights and protections. Second, we would like to make you aware of a few local regulations designed to promote a safe and enjoyable experience for all.

MAXIMUM OCCUPANCY LIMITS: The maximum occupancy limit for this home is 8 persons. You must provide us with the number of people and vehicles in your group. Violation of occupancy rules are grounds for immediate eviction with no refund, and fees will be charged to your credit card to cover any damages.

DESIGNATED PARKING: Vehicles must be parked only in designated areas on the vacation rental property. Parking in the roadway blocking the flow of traffic and parking on neighbor's property without permission are prohibited. There is parking for 3 vehicles at this property. No RV's trailers, campers, or oversized vehicles of any kind.

ACCESS: You will receive directions and access information once we have received a signed rental agreement securing reservation (this agreement will be sent to you for electronic signature) you will also need to provide a copy of your government issued ID to our company with current mailing address and contact information along with vehicle registration of each vehicle that will be at the home during your stay. You will be emailed check-in instructions 24 hours prior to arrival provided you have signed your electronic rental agreement and sent in a copy of your photo ID and vehicle information. If you go to a property prior to approval from our office before check in time you will be accessed an early check-in fee $50.

TRASH DISPOSAL: All household waste & trash must be placed in receptacles considered to be animal proof (e.g., durable with secured lids) when available unless advised otherwise due to increased bear activity.

MINIMUM AGE: You must be at least 25 years of age to reserve a rental property and sign this lease and must also be a guest at the property during the entire term of the stay. You must present a valid government ID at time of check in. If you are not 25, you will NOT be allowed to check in and no refund will be provided.

NO HOUSE PARTIES: We do not accept reservations from sororities, fraternities, spring-break parties, bachelor / bachelorette / wedding parties, graduation parties, or ANY similar groups unless approved at time of reservation. Mr. Lake Lure Vacation Rentals works very closely with local law enforcement to patrol our rental homes, and report to us any occupancy violations. Any violation of this rule mandates you immediately vacate home without refund, regardless of the remaining duration of your reservation.

FIRE PROTECTION FOR YOUR SAFETY: Fire Extinguisher and Evacuation Plan -This home is equipped with working fire extinguishers and a posted evacuation plan. Removing any of these from their designated location is prohibited. Avoid storing items not to block hallways, doorways, steps, entrances and exits. Small Outdoor Fires - When an area burning ban is in effect, bonfires are prohibited. Contact your rental home's property manager for information on any burning bans. Outdoor fires are only permitted in a place and manner approved by the Fire Chief.

LAKE ACTIVITIES: Swimming: Do not swim farther than 50 feet from shore unless accompanied by an observer in a boat.

FISHING: A North Carolina fishing license is required, and all state fishing regulations apply.

BOATING: If a boat is provided with this rental home, please ask for and review the pamphlet entitled “Lake Regulations & Map”. If you wish to utilize your own boat on the lake, a permit is required and can be obtained at Town Hall or at the town marina.

PERSONAL CONDUCT: Trespassing - Venturing onto a neighboring dock or pier, boat house or property without the owner's permission is prohibited.

NO SMOKING: Smoking, Vaping and Electronic cigarettes are prohibited in all our vacation rental homes. You will be assessed an additional cleaning fee if it is discovered you have been smoking and/or vaping in the home of $500. We ask that all smokers stay a minimum of 10 ft from any open window or door, do not stand near open doors or windows allowing smoke to enter the home while smoking on property. Please make sure butts and ashes are not left behind. Discard the butts and ashes in the outside garbage. Do not throw butts on the ground (including the fire pit) or bring them into the home. If there is any tobacco smell in the home after your departure, there will be a minimum $500 charge. Oil lamps and incense are not permitted due to the long-lasting odor. If these policies are violated, there will be a charge for excessive cleaning.

NOISE: Unreasonably loud noise is prohibited throughout the Town. Please observe quiet hours after 10 p.m. and be aware that sound carries very far over a still lake.

UNRULY BEHAVIOR: Behavior deemed disorderly and causing a disturbance to the public is prohibited. These regulations will be strictly enforced.

SECURITY CAMERA LOCATIONS: Please be advised our homes have forward facing entry area security cameras. We monitor for non-reported pets, over occupancy and number of vehicles.

PETS/ANIMALS: PETS/ANIMALS are NOT ALLOWED in this home. If you are found to be in violation of this rule you will be required to vacate the property and forfeit the remainder of your stay. You will also be assessed a fine of $500 for the violation. No refunds will be given!

RENTAL AGREEMENT AND TOTAL BALANCE: You will be required to sign a vacation rental agreement before your reservation is secured. Failure to sign rental agreement with-in 72 hours of booking, will result in cancellation of reservation and forfeiture of deposit. Any monies received by Mr Lake Lure Vacation Rentals for occupancy of vacation property indicated the acceptance of the terms of our vacation rental agreement in full. Your total amount listed on the Mr Lake Lure® Vacation Rental Agreement may be different than the amount paid to the 3rd party site you book through. All third-party sites charge differing amounts as service fees to guests for using their services. We have no control over those fees and do not collect them.

Please read your vacation rental agreement carefully before you begin your vacation. All policies are strictly enforced. It is the responsibility of all guests and members of their party to be familiar with all policies pertaining to rental.

ALL PROPERTIES OFFER AN INITIAL SUPPLY OF THE FOLLOWING AMENITIES:

Including, but not limited to: bed linens and bath towels (2 bath towels and 2 washcloths per Guest, 2 hand towels per bathroom sink), dishwasher detergent (2 loads) and dishwashing soap, new sponge, laundry detergent (2 loads), hand soap, (1 set per bathroom sink, including hotel size: 1 bar of soap, 1 shampoo, 1 conditioner and 1 lotion), paper towels (1 roll), toilet paper (2 rolls per bathroom), and garbage bags (2 kitchen bags, plus 2 black bags). If you don't feel this will be adequate for your stay, you will want to stop and pick up more on your way. All properties provide fully equipped kitchens or kitchenettes, including coffee makers as well as some cooking utensils. Locked pantries and closets are reserved for the use of the Property Owner and are not accessible to Guest. Rearranging furniture or removing any items from the Property is prohibited.

ITEMS YOU WILL/MAY WANT TO BRING FOR YOUR STAY:

Extra folding chairs, beach towels, shampoos/ body soaps, hair dryers, basic cooking condiments, tin foil, plastic wrap, food storage containers, coffee, board games, fishing poles & tackle, floats, life preservers for toddlers/infants, golf clubs.

CHECK OUT: 10:00 a.m. local time (or earlier) NO EXCEPTIONS. Housekeeping will arrive very shortly after 10:00 a.m. to prepare the home for the next Guest. Late check-outs will be charged the applicable daily rate or $50 per hour, whichever is greater to the credit card on file if the home has not been vacated by 1:00 pm.

*** Lake Lure will be undergoing a drawdown starting January 1st, through the first quarter (March 31st). The lake will begin to be lowered by approximately 1 foot per day until 12 feet has been reached. Infrastructure maintenance, dredging, and dam projects will be expedited during this time frame. These efforts by the Town of Lake Lure may affect access to the lake and restrict any lake usage. The lake will likely be back up to normal levels by mid to late April. No personal watercraft will be allowed on the lake during this time. While we understand this is an inconvenience, this does allow you to enjoy the full beauty of Lake Lure in the fall and holiday season. For more information about the annual lake drawdown, please contact the Town of Lake Lure.

We had a great stay here. The house was large and had everything you need. Very clean and comfortable. Reached out to management because many outdoor lights were burned out near decks and hot tub and they sent someone immediately to help.

Great spot for a girls weekend
We loved this home and it was perfect for our group. We had everything we needed. 2 things that could have been better: we weren't able to adjust the thermostat to a comfortable temp so it was an icebox in the house or too hot because we had to turn it off. The second thing we didnt love was having to take our trash to the recycle center. Thank you for having us, we enjoyed our time and would rent here again!

Nicely designed and well built cabin. Owners need to spend some $$$ on improvements however. 1. The master bathroom shower…..the water barely came out as a drizzle. The hot tub on the deck needs to be drained and new chemicals. Cloudy and foamy. Main fireplace needs attention to the remote. Basement fireplace out of order. Kitchen utensils need some additions/updates. In spite of all this, we had a good time.

Great couples weekend
We had a great time at the cabin for a couples trip. The location was secluded but only a short drive from town. Super clean and a beautiful view. We were disappointed the fireplace on the porch was temporarily out of order but there was a fireplace in the living room and a fire pit just outside the door. Great place for a relaxing stay!

Relaxing
Great cabin near the golf course and lake. Was home base while we explored Chimney Rock, Banner Elk, Boone and surrounding parks. It was clean and well kept. Only issue we had was the board games were missing parts and pieces for game night.

Beautiful home. We’ll appointed. Hot tub was great. Passes to the nearby rumbling bald resort was the best amenity. House was neat and surface clean but needs a thorough cleaning.

Beautiful Woodland Hideaway
The property in the home was absolutely amazing! Impeccably done- obvious attention to detail from the construction to the decor. Totally loved it! Cannot recommend highly enough!

Overall nice house, but couple of disappointments
We spent our annual Thanksgiving trip here. It’s a nice house and we had a great time! Kind of disappointing that we could not see the lake; I thought it was a lakefront property. There were a couple of issues but when I contacted the Mr Lake Lure office they sent someone out right away. I would also recommend all the tvs/cable box be checked at turnover, since it took a while to figure it out and had to reset them. The gas fireplace on the screened porch doesn’t work and we were told it’s never worked. The 2 inside were good though. Also, the kitchen could be better stocked. There were NO potholders. We were pleased with the initial supply of paper products, dish detergent and laundry detergent.

Wolf Lodge Hits Home
Wolf Lodge truly meets expectations. Great setup for our 10 guests. From tots to toddler to teens to adults. Lot is beautiful. Home charming. Owner and management company really helped take the stay from good to great by providing quick resolve to missing kitchen items/amenities. Wouldn’t hesitate to return again.
