Cottage a Mount Hutt

“the toilet next to the third bedroom! Beautiful cottage in wonderful location. Garden exquisite. BUT, the bedroom next to the toilet allowed for no privacy whatsoever. Either recommend as a two-bedroom property, or owner should seal off the toilet entrance to the third bedroom. Thankfully, the three of us who shared the property are very close friends, but neverthless found the bathroom situation rather embarrassing and disturbing. Didn't spoil our stay but wouldn't return in view of this....

“My 2 teenagers and myself stayed at the property. Our hosts were super friendly, and our initial communication with them was efficient and fast. The property is clean, modern, tastefully furnished and has all the amenities one needs. The snack box and breakfast items was a welcome surprise. What made our stay extra special was the firepit our hosts laid our for us to toast some marshmallows on. I highly recommend this property and would love to stay there again if the need arise.”

“The bathroom and toilet is upstairs and the 3rd bedroom is tiny under the eaves, more suited to 2 children with 2 single beds. The fire is fabulous, everything else a wonderful experience and super comfortable larger beds”

“The cottage is set in a beautiful garden. It is well appointed and has everything we could have wanted and was the best of all our stays in New Zealand. If we return to NZ we will definitely revisit Somers Holiday cottage.”

“Simple, functional space in a quiet reserved farming area. The cottage had everything we needed, and it was just a short drive to Rangiora. David brought us fresh-baked bread, which was fantastic. We ran into some unexpected health issues and David was extraordinarily kind and helpful.”
