Wanting to avoid crowded cities, this small seaside village 3.5hrs southwest of Athens was ideal to relax and unwind, serving up amazing local food, with a beautiful spot to swim in the sea at the end of the street or at the gorgeous beach nearby. “Hidden gem in the Peloponnes! Lovely pool; long enough to swim a few laps. Quiet rural area just 10 minute drive to Methoni and the beach there. Gorgeous self-catering accommodation (they’ve started doing breakfast hampers too); the villas arent on top of each other so you’ve got a very decent amount of privacy. And incredibly kind, warm and welcoming staff. We’ve stayed there three times already and will definitely be back. ”
