“Great position. Walking to all attractions very easy. Breakfasts were fine. Not the most flexible of offerings. Our request for high floor was accommodated. Shower really nice but hand basin hot water just tepid no matter how long it was run for. We took advantage of no cleaning of room in exchange for evening drink. We would stay again. Next visit will be in a warmer and brighter month. ”

“We had a great stay at this hotel. So clean and fresh. Very central to all yorks attractions and shops. Only thing I would say is that we had not been informed that you need to prebook parking at the the q park shambles car park. As we thought they'd be able to validate our parking ticket but on check out we were informed that this was no longer possible so we had to pay full price which worked out pretty expensive without the discount. So just for others to take note of this and I think...

“Very nice hotel, car parking is tricky to find if driving. The prices at the bar can be pricey and due to construction work there is scaffolding up. Staff are very professional and friendly. Great location.”

“Positives: Friendly check-in and staff. Clean good-size room. Good price for York. Hotel seems in good condition. Neutral: Mistake made at check-in which would have charged me twice for the room had I not checked. It was sorted out quickly when pointed out. Negative: Breakfast had a good selection but coffee is from an automatic machine and not good. Both had Eggs Benedict which wasn't great. ”
