“Stopped here for the first time last night, for work, and what a lovely place it was to. Staff were extremely polite and the service was excellent throughout my stay. My room while not the largest I've stayed in was of a good size. A pleasing item in the room was a small flask containing real milk for a good old cupper, this is a rare find as most times you stop way they only provide that terrible hit milk, that spoils you first tea of the day. “Our second time here and you can not fault this place . The rooms, the staff, the location are just perfect and the dogs are made to feel like VIP’s. The hot tub is lovely and the restaurant has such a nice ambiance about it ( and yes dogs are welcome in there too!)”

“It was lovely. we stayed in the Braid Lodge. It was clean, well decorated and warm. The only criticism would be the state of the TV remote control which was filthy.”

“We arrived early but checking in was no problem. Very nice people. Food was nice too. Unfortunately we weren't too hungry so didn't get to sample the wonderful breakfast we read about. But the poached eggs were perfect. We stayed in a cabin which had everything you need for a short stay. It was warm and the bed was comfortable. The only thing I would say is the basin in the shower room was so small and awkward to use when brushing your teeth. A small niggle. Shower was fine, and very large. ”

“Room was clean and fully equipped for a quick morning coffee which is helpful. Staff was nice and check in and out were very smooth. The only problem is that room isolation is not very good so we could hear noises from the outside and inside the property late at night. Would recommend irrespective of it. ”

“Stayed here for a 2 night break. Friendly welcome and a lovely room (The Hayloft). Breakfast was delicious with fresh fruit and cereal to start and a nice home cooked breakfast. Great touch with having a toaster on the table to toast the delicious bread and enjoy the marmalade. Breakfast was efficient with no waiting. Liz and John have a delightful place for a stay.”
